St. Mary’s Academy is a community of learning, faith and service.

Our challenging programs foster life-long learning and prepare students for higher education. We offer a variety of courses to meet the unique learning needs and interests of young women in grades 7 – 12.

Courses are based on the curriculum approved by Manitoba Education with additional emphasis on the core subjects of English and Mathematics. Students in all grade levels follow a succession of religious education courses. At SMA, students must complete one grade before advancing to the next.

Daily homework and review of course materials is expected. This helps students become independent learners and develop a disciplined work ethic.

More Than Academics

Education is a priority, but the Academy is more than academics. We're committed to nurturing the faith life of young women and providing opportunities for them to get involved in the school and broader community.

The Religious Education Program

The religious education program is a key component of both the academic curriculum and the religious culture at SMA. Students complete a course in religious studies each year. Courses are designed to provide students with a basic knowledge and understanding of the Catholic/Christian faith and the opportunity to live out their faith through community service and participation in a wide variety of faith based experiences.
