St. Mary's Academy Alumnae are a vibrant community of women connected by a shared experience, bound by lifelong friendships, and inspired by a common purpose. Through gatherings, service, and leadership, SMA alumnae continue to strengthen their bonds with one another and with the Academy, carrying forward a legacy of excellence, faith, and compassion. Whether reconnecting at events, contributing to the life of the school, or championing its mission in the wider world, our alumnae embody the values of SMA and proudly hold high the torch of sisterhood for today, tomorrow, and always.
The SMA Sisterhood

When I reflect on my time at St. Mary’s Academy, I remember more than just textbooks and uniforms. I remember the quiet strength of the Sisters who guided us, not only in our studies, but in shaping our character. They taught us that success isn’t solely measured by grades, but by kindness, humility, and service to others. Their example cultivated a spirit of generosity in me and my classmates. Whether it was through small acts like donations on non-uniform days, reading to children, assembling shoebox hampers, or volunteering to give back to the community, those simple gestures left a lasting impact.
Years later, in my work engaging with our alumnae, I see those lessons continue to thrive in the lives of so many fellow graduates. From healthcare workers to non-profit leaders and dedicated volunteers, our presence is felt everywhere, giving back in both big and small ways. This is no coincidence. The values instilled in us at St. Mary’s—compassion, responsibility, community—have taken root and flourished. At every alumnae gathering, I’m inspired by the stories I hear, each one a testament to the legacy we carry forward.
Though our paths may differ, we remain united by a shared foundation of service, forming a unique sisterhood. The Sisters shaped generations of women who stepped into the world with open hearts and willing hands. I’m encouraged by the way St. Mary’s continues to nurture the development of spirit, mind, and body, fostering in today’s students a strong sense of compassion, purpose, and service to others. The Sisters’ legacy lives on, not only in us, but in every life we touch.
