Take Our Kids to Work Day - Grade 9

On November 3 all Grade 9 students from across Manitoba will spend the day at a workplace in-person or virtually with a family member, family friend or trusted professional. Participation in this initiative is part of SMA’s career planning and exploration program and provides students with a positive learning opportunity. Students will discuss their work experiences in future career classes. For families who cannot find a workplace that can accommodate their daughter either in person or virtually from home, Ms. Lindsey Fennell, Academic Advisor, will assign a virtual career exploration assignment. Please email Ms. Fennell at lfennell@smamb.ca to make arrangements. All grade 9 students are expected to participate in this one-day event and complete an assignment based on their experiences (as outlined in the Grade 9 Careers Course). In October a permission form will be sent home with your daughter, this form must be signed and returned by Thursday, October 21.
