Ash Wednesday Service Assembly Day

The season of Lent takes place from Wednesday, February 22 until Thursday, April 6. Lent is a period of spiritual preparation and purification observed by many Christians around the world. It typically lasts for 40 days, symbolizing the 40 days that Jesus spent in the wilderness. During Lent, many Christians fast, pray, give alms (be of service), and engage in spiritual discipline as a way to deepen our relationship with God. At SMA, we begin our Lenten journey with an Ash Wednesday Prayer Service on Wednesday, February 22 at 11:40 AM in Alumnae Hall.
