Gift Bags from the Heart

For the past 16 years, our Mission Club has led our Gift Bags from the Heart initiative in support of the Immaculate Conception Drop-In Centre. This tradition involves students, faculty, and staff purchasing items and preparing gift bags for those in need. Last week, students were given a letter explaining how they can participate, with a specific age and gender for their gift bag. Each student and their family is asked to purchase the specific items outlined in the letter, which will help bring joy to those who may not otherwise receive a gift this Christmas. We kindly ask that all items be brought to school by December 6, as students will assemble their gift bags with their peers that day, just before we gather for our Celebration of the Immaculate Conception Mass. On December 15, SMA volunteers will deliver the gift bags to the Immaculate Conception Drop-In Centre, sharing holiday joy with over 600 deserving Winnipeg residents. Thank you for your generosity and for helping make a meaningful difference for those less fortunate this holiday season.
