Ash Wednesday Service

The season of Lent is the six-week period leading up to Easter. It begins with Ash Wednesday on Wednesday, February 18 and continues through until Holy Thursday on Thursday, April 2. Lent is a time to slow down, to reflect, to take stock of our prayer life, to determine what we need to be fasting from, and where we share with others. The Lenten journey is meant to teach us about God’s love. At SMA, we begin our Lenten journey with an Ash Wednesday Prayer Service and Ash Distribution on Wednesday, February 18 in Alumnae Hall. Assembly Day schedule will be in effect.
