The SMA hockey team competes in the Manitoba Women's High School Hockey League (MWHSHL) and offers students in Grades 9–12 an exciting opportunity to develop their skills and represent their school on the ice. The season runs from October through March, with tryouts typically taking place during the first and second weeks of school in September.
Players can expect a manageable but consistent commitment, with 1–2 practices and 1–2 games scheduled each week. Activities are held on weekdays and finish by 6:00 p.m., allowing athletes to balance academics and extracurriculars. Weekends are generally free, except for the occasional tournament if one is scheduled.
